Hi everyone!
I’m Janny, an Industrial Product Design student from Groningen, currently studying abroad through the Erasmus+ program in Kortrijk, Belgium. Even though it’s not too far from home, this experience has been incredibly exciting. I’ve met so many new people, discovered different cultures, and had lovely experiences.
This is my first time studying abroad, and while it was a bit overwhelming at first, I’ve grown to love every part of it. Being in a new environment pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it also helped me become more independent and open-minded.
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been joining Bridges By Mentors as a mentor. I wanted to connect with others, share my experiences, and help guide students who might be facing the same challenges I did when I first arrived.
Studying abroad has already given me more than I could’ve imagined. To anyone considering an exchange, I truly hope you get to experience the same joy, growth, and adventure that I have. It’s worth every moment!
