Why Does Bridges by Mentors Matter?
International students frequently face challenges in building connections with local communities, which can hinder their sense of belonging and intercultural growth. Meanwhile, many young people, particularly in rural areas, have limited opportunities to interact with internationals, missing out on enriching global perspectives. Bridges by Mentors aims to close these gaps by fostering meaningful connections, driving inclusion, enhancing educational outcomes, and ultimately boosting student retention.
How are we different?
Bridges by Mentors introduces a Mentoring Outreach Program, where international students take on the role of mentors for local youth. Through tailored training, interactive activities, and sustained engagement, the program empowers both mentors and mentees, fostering meaningful and lasting connections. The project invites universities to follow our journey and implement the Mentoring Outreach Program! To support this journey, the project offers two useful tools to support its implementation.
