Reflections from Sunny Cyprus!

Reconnecting, Realigning, and Reaffirming Our Mentoring Mission

The recent project meeting, hosted by the University of Nicosia in Cyprus on March 17-19, brought together Bridges by Mentors partners to reconnect and reflect on the project’s core mission, and realign future actions.

Learning from the Journey

With the piloting of the Mentoring Outreach Programme now complete, the partners took time during the project meeting to share their experiences, highlighting both challenges and success stories. This was followed by insightful discussions on how to improve the mentoring experience during the activities.

Moving forward, in the next semesters, we will implement the mentoring activities, drawing lessons from the pilot phase.

Reaffirming Our Why

The Bridges by Mentors partners engaged in a Golden Circle exercise, a reflective process that gave partners the chance to reconnect with their motivations and clarify the deeper purpose behind their work.

The result was a clear and impactful value proposition that now grounds the project:

“For international students looking for a sense of belonging and local youth seeking to broaden their horizons, our mentoring outreach programme is a powerful tool for fostering intercultural awareness and understanding of different perspectives, resulting in more inclusive communities.”

What’s Next?

As Bridges by Mentors continues to grow, the project will build on these insights to strengthen its mentoring outreach program, foster intercultural exchange, and promote inclusive practices across communities. With each mentoring relationship, we take a step closer to building trust, connection, and shared understanding.

Stay tuned for more updates as we keep building bridges, one conversation at a time.
