Lets hear from Guinneviere, a Volunteer Coordinator at Kazou!

Working with KAZOU has given me the opportunity to mentor young people in a meaningful
way. As a volunteer coordinator, I guide students who join us as camp leaders and help them
grow into confident, responsible mentors themselves. It’s incredible to witness their
transformation, from unsure beginners to inspiring role models. The training and support we
provide truly empowers them. Mentoring isn’t just about giving advice, it’s about listening,
encouraging, and leading by example. I’ve seen students develop new skills, discover their
strengths, and form lifelong friendships. The energy they bring keeps KAZOU vibrant and
inclusive. It’s a rewarding experience that benefits both the mentors and the kids we serve. At
KAZOU, mentoring is more than a task—it’s a community effort.
